About Dr. Matt
Meet Dr. Matt Tanneberg
Dr. Matt Tanneberg believes healthcare should do more than treat a problem—it should give you the knowledge and tools to take control of your health.
His mission is simple: make a positive impact on the people around him. As a former collegiate hockey and baseball player, Dr. Matt understands that reaching any goal takes teamwork, consistency, and a plan. He brings that same mindset to patient care, working with each person to understand what is holding them back and create a path forward.
More Than Treatment—Education
Dr. Matt believes patients should understand their bodies and feel empowered to take an active role in their health.
When he was 15, he lost his mother to melanoma. That experience had a profound impact on his life and inspired him to pursue a career in healthcare.
Today, he focuses on helping people better understand how their bodies work, how to move well, manage pain, recover from injury, and stay active for the long term.
Whether you're dealing with pain, returning from an injury, staying active, or pursuing higher performance, his goal is to give you the knowledge and tools to keep moving forward.
Experience Beyond the Office
Dr. Matt's experience extends well beyond the traditional clinical setting.
During chiropractic school, he participated in a clinic-abroad trip to Fiji, providing free chiropractic examinations and services at local schools and community centers. He has also worked on-site at sporting events throughout Northern California and the Phoenix Valley.
Over his career, he has worked with athletes across virtually every level of competition, including NFL, MLB, NHL, PGA Tour, and ATP Tour athletes, NCAA Division I All-Americans and National Champions, Olympians, and CrossFit Games qualifiers.
His experience also includes coaching competitive baseball and hockey. As a Level 4 USA Hockey certified coach, Dr. Matt understands the demands of training, competition, recovery, and long-term performance.
Dr. Matt's passion for education extends to the classroom. He serves as adjunct faculty at SCHUS, teaching chiropractic students chiropractic technique and adjusting, as well as anatomy and physiology.
Dr. Matt has been featured in, written for, or quoted by major media outlets and organizations including Men's Health, Women's Health, Men's Journal, GQ, CBS Sports, NBC News, Fox News, USA Today, CNN, Forbes, Nike, Runner's World, Bicycling, Outside Online, and Chiropractic Economics, among others.
He has also contributed to five published books.
A Mission Built Around You
Dr. Matt's goal isn't simply to help you feel better today. It's to help you stay active, healthy, and capable of doing the things you love.
Whether that's playing with your kids, competing at a high level, getting back to your favorite sport, staying active as you age, or simply feeling your best, Dr. Matt is here to help you understand your body and build a stronger foundation for the life ahead.
Because the goal isn't just to feel better. It's to stay better.
